The Rainbow Bagpipe

This is a very nice "novelty" bagpipe made by the late George Kilgour (turner at Robertson's and later partnered with Kron).  The wood is called rainbow wood and it is a laminate of colored woods.  At the block was turned it created a rainbow effect.  The bagpipe plays and tunes well however the sound is quite soft and it would not be suitable for competition purposes.  The chanter did not rate as highly.
