Hector Russell formed a partnership with Jack Dunbar, Thomas Maitland, and (?) Liddell (his first name
escapes me!) for the purpose of making a bagpipe under the name Hector Russell. This partnership lasted
less than two years before Dunbar, Maitland, and Liddell went off to form Piobmor Highland Industries.
The early Hector Russell bagpipes were "Henderson" inside and out. After their departure, other makers
were employed and the bagpipe changed completely.
