I've not been able to find too much about Tadhg Crowley other than he had a business in Cork (T. Crowley
and Son, 10 Merchants Quay, Cork, Erie) and that he published a music book entitled "Crowley's collection
of music for the Highland or Irish Bagpipes, compiled and arranged by Tadhg O'Crowley which was released
in 1940. He published another book "How to play the Uilleann Pipes" in 1936.
We know that he
was a maker of Irish Uilleann pipes and that these instruments are highy regarded today and frequently
mentioned alongside of Kennedy and Rowsome Uilleann Pipes. The business closed in 1960 with Kennedy
buying up the tools and stock.

The GHB's below are said to be Crowley's work however it was speculated that Peter Henderson made at
least one of the sets (the button mount set). I would say that the other set has the look of James Robertson
however that doesn't mean anything. I would prefer to see/hear compelling information regarding the
authenticity of Crowley bagpipes. Equally frustrating is that his Uilleann pipes are sometimes mistaken
for Rowland's work. I am eager to learn more about Tadhg and his work as a pipe maker.
