| This set was said to have belonged to a piper that participated in the Peninsular War (1808 - 1814) and at the battle of Waterloo (June 18, 1815). All would seem plausible and one expert believes the chanter might date as early as 1790. You will find similarities with the Morrison bagpipe and the Hugh Robertson bagpipe, among others within this museum. This is one incredible bagpipe! |
