Unknown # 32

Here`s one that`s just in from the workbench of Jack Phillips of Auckland New Zealand.  Jack was known and respected widely for his skill at restoring old bagpipes.  He died some time ago however this bagpipe has just surfaced and was said to be among Jack`s tools and parts.    At this point all I can say is early 1800`s and the hands that fashioned these were highly skilled.  It would be nice to have anyone with knowlege of this bagpipe step forward and provide some background.

Notice the detail on the cord beads.  That`s a steady hand and a keen eye at work.

Note the different treatment of the bushing.  Perhaps one is a replacement, although I don`t think so from what I see.
