Trumeau

This is a Trumeau, being an oil painting married to a mirror. These were popular in France during the 1700's. I cut off the mirrow in this image. This particular piece is unsigned (or it is well concealed) and depicts a piper of that era. I have not seen this in any collection of piping art to date. Very interesting.
