Full-Ivory 1950 Henderson Bagpipe
First up is a full-ivory Henderson purchased new in 1950
by the present owner. The 48th Highlanders of Canada were playing Henderson bagpipes at that time and
this set was purchased on the recommendation of PM Archie Dewar.
The original chanter suffered
a mishap however an ivory soled Henderson chanter was purchased separately from MacPherson's in St. Catharines.
This bagpipe was refurbished by Dunbar Bagpipes in St. Catharines in April 2007. At that time
the tuning bores were reamed to original Henderson specifications and tuning slides installed. As you
can see, both the bagpipe and the owner are in excellent condition. Very reasonably priced at $3,500.
